Appliances Instructions

  1. DISHWASHER

The dishwasher can be found within the kitchen. We have provided you with some complimentary dishwasher tablets for your arrival to start you off. If you require more, they can be found for purchase at the local Tesco and Co-Operative or any other convenience store/supermarket.

To turn the dishwasher on press the ø button

To select the programme, press the P button until it selects the programme you wish to use. The programmes are from left to right Eco (3hours), Intensive (2hours 30mins), Normal (2hours) and Prewash (10minutes)

  1. WASHER/DRYER

The washer/dryer is located under the kitchen counter.  We have provided you with some complimentary washing tablets for your arrival to start you off. If you require more, they can be found for purchase at the local Tesco and Co-Operative or any other convenience store/supermarket.

There is a programme list located on the far left of the machine outlining which programme is best for which material.

To choose the programme: go to the far-right hand dial next to the P and choose from the numbers that will correspond with the list on the left.

To start the programme: press the ø button to start the load

For drying items, the programmes to use are 7 & 8. The list on the left gives an explanation about which materials are best on these programmes.

Choose your temperature in the middle dial and again press ? button to start the drying.

Full instructions on how to work this appliance can be found next to the machine once you have opened the cupboard door.

  1. OVEN/HOB

Oven/Grill

To operate the oven turn the far left dial to the right. There is a range of numbers, which are the temperature options- choose the setting which you require to cook at.

For the grill turn this same dial as far to the right as it can go.

Hob

To operate the hob turn the dial on the right-hand side for the indicated hob you wish to use. * is the lowest setting and 12 is highest setting.

Please ensure that you keep all doors closed when cooking and make sure that your extractor fan is on. The smoke detectors in the apartments are very sensitive and they have been installed for your own safety. Please do not tamper with the smoke alarm or remove the batteries.

  1. EXTRACTOR FAN

The power switch is on the wall next to the extractor fan, mostly above eye level and always on. The extractor has five buttons, 0-4 and one for the light

Please use this at all times when cooking items on the hob.

  1. BOILERS & RADIATORS

Our gas fired combi boilers provide heating and hot water. The boilers are within serviced cupboards and not accessible to guests. Each radiator has individual control knob with 0 being off and 5 being hottest.

  1. FUSE BOX

Each apartment has its own fuse box either in a bedroom or some are in the lounge.

In the unlikely event of a power outage, the fuse box can be checked for trips and if required, reset. Caution is advised and if you are unsure, please contact Reception or the Duty Manager.

  1. SHOWERS

Pull the control handle towards you to let the water flow. Turn to the right for cold water and the left for hot water. When the control handle is in the middle hot and cold water will flow at the same time.
