Fire Procedure

ON DISCOVERING A FIRE:

In the event of discovering a fire within your apartment or immediate vicinity, raise the alarm by breaking the nearest break glass point and alert the Fire Service by calling 999. Evacuate the building and proceed to the fire assembly point

 

ON HEARING WARNING OF A FIRE:

In the event of a fire, the alarms within the building will sound automatically.

On hearing the alarm guests should:

• Alert all persons under their charge – or make sure that they have been alerted
• All persons should evacuate the premises quickly but calmly by the nearest exit and proceed to the assembly point located in main car park beside the back wall
• Before leaving, check that all persons within your apartment have left the premises
• Close all doors of rooms and those through which you pass on leaving the building
• Ensure that the Fire Brigade are called immediately on hearing a fire warning – dial 999 and give the full address of The Spires when connected to the operator
• Do not enter the building until a Fire Brigade Officer has stated that it is safe to do so

 

FIRE TESTING:

Our Fire System testing takes place every Friday between 13.00 - 14:00.
